Since beginning her professional painting career in 1999, Sheryl has split her time between studios in Leeds and Weardale, County Durham. Drawing inspiration from the windswept high moors of the North Pennines, she strives to convey the dynamic relationship between the skies and the land.

Technique and Approach  

Sheryl works primarily in oils, layering gradually with both brushes and knives to achieve vibrancy and depth in each piece. Although her composition and techniques are rooted in classical traditions, her aim is to infuse a contemporary feel into her work, blending traditional methods with modern expression.
