Nigel Cooke, born in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, has a lifelong passion for art running through his veins. After leaving school, Nigel joined the Merchant Navy, followed by a series of creative roles on his path to becoming a full-time artist. His career took a unique turn when he worked as a resident caricaturist and entertainer at Butlins, eventually opening caricature concessions in popular UK destinations like Blackpool’s Central Pier and Pleasure Beach, the Trafford Centre Mall in Manchester, and Alton Towers.

Nigel’s artistic journey broadened as he began translating his caricature skills into cityscapes, reflecting the places he had visited during his travels. His intricate, layered, and textured approach to painting has redefined his illustrative style, making his work instantly recognisable. Nigel’s dynamic "drippy" technique adds a unique vibrancy to his cityscape compositions, elevating them to fine art.
