Kerry Darlington

Artistic Journey and Inspiration

Born in 1974, and raised in the charming seaside town of Prestatyn, Darlington’s studio serves as the birthplace of some of the UK’s most captivating artworks. Her works weave together elements from classic Welsh fables, as well as contemporary influences from the likes of Tolkien and JK Rowling and childhood favourite The Magic Faraway Tree. Inspired by the mystical faeries of Arthur Rackham and the fantastical Victorian-mechanical Steampunk, Darlington’s art is a rich tapestry of imagination and folklore.

For 20 years of friendship and support, Watergate Contemporary has been home for Kerry Darlington’s original artworks and editions since meeting her fresh from college.
